A blurb in the local Olympia weekly:
A new interview chronicles the 2001 tour, Live Leaves and Leaves Turn Inside You. This one covers a lot of the same territory that the Maura article does for those who were not able to read that one.
Alright folks, it's official. Unwound is reissuing everything we recorded plus the rest of the releasable material with ace reissue label The Numero Group. We are super excited for this opportunity to get everything out there again (including all the out-of-print vinyl). News releases below...
Check out this comprehensive oral history article on the final days of Unwound. Interviews with Justin, Vern, Sara, Brandt, guitarist David Scott Stone and writer David Wilcox. Maura Magazine is a new publication by Maura Johnston, former Village Voice music editor. Article by Brad Cohan. FYI: this is currently only available for download on devices that use iOS (iPads, etc.). Sorry for the inconvenience.

The self-titled Unwound album is now out on iTunes and available digitally for the first time! This record was recorded in the spring of 1992 but was not officially released until 1995. It features original drummer Brandt Sandeno. The CD originally came out on Honeybear Records and the LP on Vern's Punk In My Vitamins label. The CD is now out of print but there is still vinyl left here. If you haven't heard this, check it out! It will sit nicely along with your favorite DC hardcore, SST, and Pacific Northwest rock records!
Today is 12/11/12. "Live Leaves" is officially out there in the world. Check the blog for a series of stories on the 2001 tour. The vinyl is a limited pressing of 1,500 and is going FAST. Order it here.
We put up a tentative list of shows and recordings Unwound made. Much like the rest of the site, it is incomplete (there is at least one tour missing), but you will get a good picture of our show "resume"...Eventually it will be linked to flyers, fan recordings, and what not. Please contact us if you have any shows, venues, or other bands to add!
This sticker was made by our friend Tinuviel in 1991, who helped start the Kill Rock Stars record label back in the day! We played a few shows with our friends Bikini Kill in the early days.
We just wanted to mention that Bikini Kill has been rereleasing their records and t-shirts and it's very exciting! Check out their merch page here!
The website is a work in progress...we will be adding stuff pretty regularly...so sign up for the mailing list, like us on the FB page, etc. Seriously, there will be cool stuff if you are into unwound...
Check out the complete last show video...here.
The "About" page will give you the basic rundown.
Cheers!!
